The rules for using TimeBubble, and what we each owe the other.

1. About these Terms

  1. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of TimeBubble and the websites and applications that accompany it (the "Service"), operated by Jayun Ku, trading as HanTeam ("we", "us", "our").
  2. By creating an account you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
  3. Some features are governed by additional terms or consents. Where those differ from these Terms, the additional terms apply to that feature.

3. Eligibility

  1. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
  2. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian, and any paid purchase requires their consent.

4. Your account

  1. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Do not share your account with anyone else.
  2. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account, except where it results from our own failure to keep the Service secure.
  3. Tell us at contact@hansei.team as soon as you believe your account has been used without your permission.

5. What the Service provides

  1. The Service lets you create and keep records — Time Capsules, Emotion Capsules, Friend Capsules, Dream Bubbles, Daily Bubbles and Question Bubbles — upload images, and receive reminders when a record is due to open.
  2. Reflect AI, our AI feature, is offered separately and requires its own terms and consents, which are presented in the app before you use it.
  3. We may add to or change what the Service does. We will announce changes in the app or at https://hansei.team.

6. Backup and recovery

  1. We back up the records you create once every 24 hours.
  2. If a system failure makes recovery necessary, we restore from the backup taken at 00:00 on the relevant day.
  3. This means records created or edited after the most recent backup may not be recoverable. Please keep this in mind when using the Service.
  4. We will carry out backup and recovery diligently. We are not responsible where recovery is impossible because the backup itself was damaged, or because of events outside our control such as natural disaster or unlawful interference by a third party — except where we have acted with gross negligence or willful misconduct.
  5. For records that matter most to you, we recommend keeping your own separate copy.

7. Fees and payment

  1. The Service is currently free. There are no paid features at this time.
  2. If we introduce paid features, purchases will be made through the App Store (Apple) or Google Play. Billing, timing, auto-renewal, cancellation and refunds follow the rules of the platform you purchase through.
  3. Requests to cancel or refund a purchase must be made to that platform. The platform makes the final refund decision; we cannot make it alone. We will, on your request, raise the matter with the platform and provide any information they need.
  4. You can turn off auto-renewal at any time in your platform account settings. If you do not, the next period is charged automatically on the renewal date.
  5. If we ever move a currently free feature behind payment, we will tell you at least 30 days beforehand.
  6. Nothing in this section affects statutory rights of withdrawal or cancellation that apply where you live.

8. Acceptable use

  1. You agree not to:
    1. break the law or use the Service for unlawful purposes;
    2. register false information or create duplicate accounts;
    3. use someone else's account or credentials;
    4. infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy, likeness or reputation;
    5. post obscene, violent or discriminatory material;
    6. disrupt the Service, including by sending repeated or bulk messages;
    7. send unsolicited advertising;
    8. distribute malware or harmful code;
    9. copy, redistribute or commercially exploit material obtained through the Service without our prior consent;
    10. use the Service for business purposes without our prior written agreement; or
    11. reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Service.
  2. If you break these rules and cause us loss, you are responsible for that loss.

9. Your content

  1. You own what you write. We claim no ownership of your records.
  2. We use your content only as needed to run the Service, keep it working, and show it back to you. We do not use your content for commercial purposes.
  3. We may remove or hide content that breaches section 8. Where we do, we will tell you why unless the law prevents us.
  4. If a dispute arises with a third party about something you posted, you are responsible for resolving it.

10. Our intellectual property

The Service, its software, trade marks and design belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy, publish, distribute or broadcast them for commercial purposes without our prior consent.

11. Changes to the Service

  1. We may suspend or interrupt the Service for maintenance, because a telecommunications provider has interrupted service, because of a fault, or because of events outside our control.
  2. Where we can, we will tell you the reason and expected duration in advance.

12. Suspension and termination

  1. If you breach section 8, we may limit your use of the Service or close your account.
  2. Before we act, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond — unless the matter is urgent, in which case we will tell you promptly afterwards.
  3. You may challenge our decision by email. We may pause the measure while we review your response.

13. Closing your account

  1. You can close your account at any time from My Page > Delete account in the app.
  2. Once your account is closed, your content is handled as set out in our Privacy Policy. Apart from information we must keep by law, it is deleted without undue delay.

14. Disclaimers

  1. We will provide the Service with reasonable care and skill.
  2. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, the Service is provided as it is. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose you have in mind.
  3. Nothing in this section limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract.

15. Limitation of liability

  1. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for:
    1. death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
    2. fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
    3. willful misconduct or gross negligence; or
    4. anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
  2. Subject to section 15.1, we are not liable for loss arising from:
    1. events outside our reasonable control, including natural disaster, power failure and network outage;
    2. unauthorised access to or unlawful interference with the Service by a third party;
    3. a failure caused by you; or
    4. disputes between you and another user or a third party.
  3. Subject to section 15.1, our liability is limited to loss that is a reasonably foreseeable result of our breach. If you use a paid feature, our total liability is additionally capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the loss arose. No monetary cap applies to users of the free Service.
  4. We are not liable for business losses. If you use the Service for any commercial purpose, we have no liability to you for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.

16. Privacy

We handle your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy and, for location data, our Location Data Policy.

17. Changes to these Terms

  1. We may change these Terms. We will publish the updated Terms and the date they take effect in the app or on our website before that date.
  2. Where a change disadvantages you, we will give at least 30 days' notice and explain what you can do if you disagree.
  3. If you do not accept a change, you may close your account. Continuing to use the Service after the effective date means you accept the change.

18. Notices

  1. We will contact you through the app, by push notification, or at the email address on your account.
  2. Contact us through My Page > Contact us in the app, or at contact@hansei.team.

19. Assignment

You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may transfer ours to a company that takes over our business, provided your rights under these Terms are not reduced.

20. Severability

If any part of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in full effect.

21. Governing law and disputes

  1. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
  2. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country.
  3. We would prefer to resolve any dispute directly. Please contact us first at contact@hansei.team.
  4. If you live in the European Union, you may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
